Looking for something different to do this weekend? The Fit Factory Fighting Championships(3FC) returns this Saturday, May 22, to the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, TN. This will be the third show for the organization, and they are quickly becoming known in the area for putting on one of the best, most fighter and fan friendly shows. Promoter Gene Click, who is the head instructor at the Fit Factory in Sevierville, stresses that his show is family oriented and is known to always take care of the fighters.
The show has not come without it’s speedbumps. The event was originally scheduled to take place at Sevier County High School, the site of his two prior shows. However, last week the plug was pulled on the show by the school board. Not one to be deterred, Click secured an even better venue in the Smoky Mountain Convention Center. The new venue will provide more of a “fight night” feel, and Click has secured the services of Omega Attire to provide the stage and light show.
3FC is also becoming known as an organization that puts on quality, well matched fights. Several of the fighters on Saturday’s card have had a hard time securing bouts in their hometowns, so 3FC has become a meeting ground of sorts for these high level amateurs to get good, competitive fights. The card is stacked with three title fights and an impressive undercard.
The 3FC will christen a new 125 lb. champ for the first time, as Team Oxendine’s Bo Oliver(4-1) battles the dangerous Chuckie Jennings. Lightweight Champion and Team Oxendine member Troy Dollar(6-0), will look to stay undefeated against Mt. Empire’s Billy Mullins(10-2). Rounding out the title fights will be a barn burner between featherweight champ Jason Kilgore(5-1) of Pinnacle MMA, and top North Carolina prospect Nate Davis of Team Huskey.
The undercard features an intriguing bout between Mt. Empire’s Josh Booher(6-1) and Atlanta’s Chris Dellerba. Dellerba is the kickboxing instructor at Georgia’s Iron Clutch Gym. Also featured on the undercard is a grudge match between Mt. Empire’s Mike Anderson, and Cage Wilbur of Team TKO.

Tickets for this event are only $20.00 and seating will be on a first come basis. They can be purchased by calling 865-742-3713. The show will start early, as the doors open at 3:30, and the action begins at 5:00.
